“Bank of Baroda Interschool Pookkalam Competition 2010” held at three Centres – Ernakulam, Trivandrum and Calicut"

We are pleased to share that Bank of Baroda, Kerala Region had conducted an “Inter School Pookkalam Competition” for the students of Schools at three places of Kerala Region, namely Trivandrum, Ernakulam and Calicut, on August 17^th, 18^th 19^th 2010 respectively. The spirited participation by one and all rendered the atmosphere charged with festivity. It was a veritable cauldron of creativity, talent and riotous colours displaying Onam Spirit. The event was flagged off by Mr. J. Ganesh Kumar, Asst. General Manager, Kerala Region at Ernakulam Centre. Mr. PK Subhash, Director of Doordarshan was the Chief Guest at Trivandrum. Mr. KJ Santhosh, Senior Branch Manager of Calicut Branch inaugurated the event at Calicut Centre.

Eminent Judges:

The following were the Judges at each Centre

Ms. KA Beena, News Editor, Doordarshan, Mr. Pushpasaran and Mr. Shaji Lecturer from college of Fine arts, Trivandrum were the judges at Trivandrum Centre.

Dr. Sunil Menon, Prof Economics, Maharaja College, Mr. EV Shrikumar, Photo Editor of Malayalam Manorama and Ms. Anjana Sanjay, Programme Manager, Radio Mango FM were the Jury members at Ernakulam Centre.

Mr. Roy from Malayalam Manorama, Mr. VK Mohandas, Art Director and Mr. VK Sudheesh, Painter & Artist were the judges at Calicut Centre.

Prior to the competition, the competition details were advertised in Malayalam Manorama Newspaper, All India Radio, Cochin, Radio Mango FM etc.

Post competition, there was very good publicity and branding for our Bank. The programme was covered by Manorama TV News channel, Doordarshan News bulletin and had given video coverage. An article was published in Malayalam Manorama news paper, Mangalam news paper along with Photograph of the event.

The function was live with spectators, and the hall was decorated with Bank of Baroda Banners and publicity materials. Few photos taken on the occasion are also enclosed.
